Detroit police shoot man during chase

As Detroit police started a chase Thursday night on the city's east side, officers said, a man dropped what appeared to be a gun and then stopped to pick it up. Police said the man then turned toward an officer who fired multiple rounds toward him. The man is now in an area hospital, listed in critical condition.
