Bill to expand Rx Kids program has hearing in Lansing

Michigan Senate Bill 309 is in the hearing stages in Lansing, with the goal of expanding the Rx Kids program to more families in Michigan. Rx Kids provides cash to families of newborns to help them with expenses of caring for a young one. Sen. Sylvia Santana, a Democrat from Detroit, was among those speaking about the effort.
