Duane "Keffe D" Davis was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison Tuesday in Las Vegas for the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The man who prosecutors say orchestrated the 1996 killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur, Duane "Keffe D" Davis, is on trial almost 30 years after the drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
One of 12 siblings, Davis said he rose through the ranks to become a "shot caller" of the notorious South Side Compton Crips gang.
Tupac wore the custom, self-designed ring during his final public appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, a little over a week before his shooting death.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department searched a home in Henderson, less than 20 miles from the Las Vegas Strip where Shakur was gunned down in 1996.
Shakur's sister, Sekyiwa "Set" Shakur, will accept the honor on the artist's behalf on June 7 on Hollywood Boulevard.
The Fox network next month will air an investigation into the shooting deaths of rap superstars Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.
The car in which rapper Tupac Shakur was fatally shot is for sale, with an asking price of $1.5 million.
Even in a jersey with "USA" on the chest, Kevin Durant got some boos at Staples Center on Sunday night.
