A federal judge has recommended that a former Michigan State football staff member's claims against former Spartan football coach Mark Dantonio should be dismissed.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo thought he had seen everything during his 25-year tenure.
Cassius Winston kissed Michigan State's logo in the middle of its basketball court, following the school's quarter-century long tradition toward the end of his last game at the Breslin Center.
Michigan State (21-9, 13-6) has won four straight and with a win over the Buckeyes (21-9, 11-8) would claim a third straight Big Ten regular-season championship.
To his pleasure, the Spartans played their grittiest game all year and gave themselves a chance to win what Izzo calls the most physical conference.
"It was an unbelievable designed 75-foot play that we put in just last week," Izzo said with a grin. "So that's coaching fellas, that's coaching."
Maryland (23-5, 13-4) has a two-game lead on No. 24 Michigan State (19-9, 11-6) with three games left in the regular season. Illinois, Penn State and Wisconsin are in a four-way tie for second place with the Spartans.
"Cassius had a miserable first half," Spartans coach Tom Izzo said. "He did what true champions are supposed to do and just did an unbelievable job in the second half."
Michigan State hired Ross Els as special teams coordinator and William Peagler as running backs coach.
Izzo gave Jack Hoiberg his first start, a nod to the walk-on guard playing in Lincoln, with his dad, Fred, on the opposite bench coaching the Huskers.
The Spartans, who have been struggling for almost a month, had a good shooting night, the Bucks had 70 points by halftime on their way to a 126-106 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Tucker brought one of his assistants with the Buffaloes with him on Monday, hiring Chris Kapilovic to be his offensive line coach and running game coordinator. Kapilovic had the same roles at Colorado under Tucker last year in his only season at the school.
