Zack Follett Eager To Prove Lions Right
Zack Follett was just as surprised as every other Lions player when the team dealt linebacker Ernie Sims to the Eagles in a three-team deal April 19 that brought tight end Tony Scheffler to the Lions.
"It was a shock for all of us. None of us saw it coming," Follett said from his home in California Monday. "It's kind of the business of the NFL and it kind of hurts losing a good friend like Sims because he was kind of our voice in the locker room. But from a football standpoint, I just saw the door of opportunity open up and it got me excited."
