Check Out The New Ford LEGO SUV
CHICAGO - (WWJ) How many LEGO's would it take to build a full size model of a Ford Explorer?
The answer: More than 380,000. You also need to add a large aluminum base, and the work of 22 designers.
And as you can see in the time lapse video below, workers at Ford's Chicago Assembly Plant put all of those bricks together one-by-one to create this very unique Explorer.

This isn't just a game, as the goal is to make an impression on young people even before they can drive. The "Florida edition Explorer" will be shipped the new LEGOLAND theme park in Florida, and be part of a new driving school for kids.
"The LEGOLAND Florida Explorer and the Ford Driving School attraction are great opportunities to showcase our products and safety messages to families and visitors in a unique way," said Tracy Magee, Ford Experiential Marketing manager, in a statement.
The school teaches children as young as 3 years old safety tips and driving skills. There are different classes targeted to different ages. Graduation includes the ability to drive small electric cars around a track.
This isn't child's play, as car companies have found that positive impressions are made early in life. That's why car makers compete to get their products into video games.
