Wixom School Briefly Evacuated
Classes are back in session at Wixom Elementary after staff and students were evacuated earlier Monday because of smoke in the building.
WWJ's Pat Sweeting spoke with Wixom mom Chris Dickinson who has a first and a fifth grader at the school.
"As I was driving by I saw the police cars and the firetrucks, and so I pulled in... I found Miss. Tina, the lunch lady, in the parking lot and she informed me as to what was going on," Dickinson said.
Wixom's Fire Chief said a malfunctioning heater may have caused the smoke, but there was no fire.
