Wanted: Woman Who Carjacked Elderly Good Samaritan In Detroit [VIDEO]
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for help to identify a woman who carjacked an elderly Good Samaritan who gave her a ride over the weekend.
It happened at around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in the area of E. Canfield and Moran on the city's east side.
According to police, the suspect — described as a 40-year-old black female — approached the 74-year-old victim ad she was leaving the McDougall Market and asked her for a ride.
The victim agreed, and as the two were traveling eastbound on Canfield towards Moran, the suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it at the woman and announced a robbery.
That's when the victim got out of the car and the suspect drove away.
The stolen vehicle is a four-door 1997 Green Buick Century, license plate number is CHG 1231. The suspect is around 5'8'' tall and 225 lbs. with a dark complexion, large build and short curly brown hair.
Security camera video and a photo of the suspect were released to the media on Monday.
