Two Killed In Three-Car Crash

MACOMB TWP. (WWJ) - Two people are dead following a three-car accident Monday in Macomb Township.

Officials the three cars collided just after 12 p.m. on 23 Mile Road at Romeo Plank. A 77-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman, both of Richmond and in the same car, were killed.

Sheriff  Tony Wickersham said it appeared that neither were wearing their seatbelts.  Their names are being withheld pending notification of their family.

Two people who were in another car were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the third car was treated at the scene.

Officials don't believe alcohol was a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
