Sara's Blog: Tripping-gate With The Jets And The Dolphins
Sometimes even grown men let their inner third grader out. During Sunday's game between the Jets and the Dolphins, a strength coach for New York intentionally tripped Miami cornerback Nolan Carroll while on the sideline. It was just like "Showgirls" only without the naked boobs and the bad acting.
Sal Alosi admitted he interfered with Carroll and said in a statement, "I made a mistake that showed a total lapse in judgment." Lucky for Alosi, Carroll was able to get back in the game during the fourth quarter and was not severely injured. The Dolphins ended the night with a 10-6 win and Rex Ryan has promised that the Jets will look into the matter.
UPDATE: The Jets suspended Alosi without pay through the 2010 season's playoffs and fined him $25,000.
