Road Work Slows Traffic On I-96

Southfield (WWJ) - Weekend road work is slowing traffic near Kensington Metropark in Oakland County.

Westbound lanes of I-96 are reduced to one lane at Kent Lake Road.  WWJ traffic reporter Terry T Brown said Saturday morning at 10 a.m. the backup stretched for at least two miles.

Drivers can use Grand River or Eight Mile Road as an alternate.

These are some other weekend projects announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
