Todd Bertuzzi, Red Wings Begin Contract Talks
The Red Wings have engaged in preliminary contract talks with unrestricted free agent Todd Bertuzzi, though it's unlikely a deal will get done right away.
That's because the Wings are waiting to hear whether Nicklas Lidstrom decides to return or retire, which will affect much of what they do this summer. However, the Wings and Bertuzzi's side envision extending what began last summer as a one-year relationship.
