Tips Sought In Murder Of Detroit Grandfather

DETROIT (WWJ) - Investigators are hoping a tip from the public will lead them to whoever killed a 73-year-old Detroit grandfather in his own driveway.

Police say Cleveland Hall was murdered at around 8 p.m. Wednesday outside his home on Archdale near Schoolcraft and the Southfield Freeway on the city's west side.

Witnesses said two men approached Hall as he pulled into his garage, robbed him, and then shot him. They fled the scene in what appeared to be a white 2004 to 2008 Chevy Impala.

The suspects were described as black males in their 20s. One was reportedly about 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a skinny build. The second suspect was about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighed 180-200 lbs. He had a medium complexion and short hair.

A $2,500 reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest in this case. Anyone who has information regarding this crime is asked to call  Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587.
