Tigers Option Oliveros To Triple-A Toledo
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Detroit Tigers optioned reliever Lester Oliveros to Triple-A Toledo after Sunday's 5-2 win over the Minnesota Twins.
Manager Jim Leyland said pitcher Chance Ruffin will be called up before Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Oliveros was 0-0 with a 5.63 ERA in nine games.
Ruffin had 17 saves and 55 strikeouts in 43 innings for Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo this season.
