Tigers' Max Scherzer held back in rain-shortened exhibition
The Detroit Tigers scratched right-hander Max Scherzer from his scheduled exhibition start against the New York Yankees today because of a threat of rain. As it turns out, the rain caused a premature ending to the game, with the Yankees leading, 8-0, with two out in the bottom of the fourth.
