Tigers Confident In Starting Rotation

When Tigers manager Jim Leyland went to the mound to remove Dontrelle Willis in Tuesday's fifth inning, he told the left-hander he'd made the Opening Day team.

Later in the clubhouse, Willis learned that he'd made the rotation and that the Tigers had traded left-hander Nate Robertson to the Florida Marlins for a minor league pitcher.

"It's bittersweet," Willis said. "(Nate) is a close friend of mine. I'm sad to see him go. He's a big part of this organization."
