Three reasons it would be a big boost for the Lions if Matthew Stafford is able to play again this season:
1. At this stage, the only way Stafford can really learn is playing in regular season games.
2. Stafford obviously gives the Lions the best chance to win - and they need victories to secure confidence for future.
3. Stafford and his big arm clearly make Calvin Johnson a more threatening presence for the Lions.
