Three reasons why the Lions' line could make or break their defense in 2010.
1. If the Lions defensive line is able to put more pressure on the quarterback, particularly Kyle Vanden Bosch from the outside, it would keep the Lions' still-subpar secondary from having to cover receivers for so long.
2. If the Lions' defensive line is stout, it would force long down-and-distance situations for offenses, putting everyone on the defense in a beneficial circumstance.
3. A deep and strong defensive line tends to wear down opposing offenses.
