Everyone knows the worst part of traveling is the planning -- unless you're going to Venezuela, in which case it's the getting kidnapped. But it doesn't have to be. Instead of spending hours tabbing through travel sites, hit Rome2Rio: an oracle-like web/app that maps out the exact planes, trains, and automobiles (with fares) to take between any two places on the planet.
How does it work? You mean, how doesn't it work!
It's as simple as typing in where you are and where you're going; Rome2Rio does the rest, pulling up the necessary transit info (flights, bus lines, train routes) and rates. It'll even give you local taxi dispatch information to get you to/from each station along the way.
That's not all. Rome2Rio also populates the map with nearby hotels -- all color-coded by price -- so you're not sleeping in the bus depot. And, after comparing room amenities and rates, you can book right on the site, without fees or getting kicked over to another company's booking page.
But wait, there's more. For three easy installments of $19.95 (kidding)... Rome2Rio will also calculate the best route across town, in case you're trying to get from your hotel to, say, the best nude beach in the area.
