Taylor Police Looking For Men Who Posed At Cops

TAYLOR (WWJ) - Taylor police hope the public can provide tips, leading to the arrest of three men who entered an apartment and fired a gun, after claiming to be police officers.

A 22-year old woman was wounded in the Friday afternoon shooting at the Fairlane Apartments.

Witnesses said the three suspects had no badges or any other police gear, but were yelling that they were the police.

The men took cash from several people before driving away in a newer-model white Toyota or Honda four-door SUV.

Witnesses described the first suspect as a black male, 6', 180-200 lbs., mid 20's, wearing a gray/black jacket and a dark-colored t-shirt.  He wore a NY Yankees style blue hat and had a stud diamond earring in his left ear.  He was armed with a black and silver semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect was described as a black male, 5'11" to 6'1", weighing 220 pounds.  He was wearing a button-up beige shirt and jeans.

The third suspect was described as a black male, 6'2", weighing between 210 to 220 pounds and wearing a blue shirt.
