Suspect Sought In Deadly Dollar Store Shooting

"A good man and a senseless crime," reads just one of the notes taped to the door of the Dollar Club Plus store on Hilton Road north of 9 Mile in Ferndale. Police are still looking for leads in the shooting that left the 64-year-old owner of the store dead.
Police say that the shooting took place sometime between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. last Friday. Investigators say they have determined that three people spotted in the alley behind the store that night were kids who had nothing to do with the crime.
Police have still not released the name of the victim.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Ferndale Police or 1 (800) SPEAK-UP.
