Suspect In Armed Robbery Of Elderly Couple Arraigned In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit man accused of barricading himself inside a home goes to court Saturday facing charges including armed robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
Detroit police say 27-year old Anthony Evan was carrying a gun when he forced an elderly woman inside a home on Mendota on
Wednesday.
That's when a neighbor spotted what was happening and called 9-1-1.
When police arrived at the scene, a long stand-off began.
After several hours, he turned himself in.
The woman, and her 85-year old husband were not physically hurt.
Evan is facing several charges in the case and is being held on a million dollar bond.
