Suh Talks Hopes For Season, Hanging In Detroit
Lions star Ndamukong Suh couldn't talk specifics as reports indicated the NFL lockout could be in its final hours, but he for sure sounded prepared to play.
"I'm just busy training and preparing myself to get ready for football ... No question, we have great opportunities, gotta stay healthy," Suh told "Puddin" on the 98.7 Amp Radio morning show.
So, what does Suh like to do in the D?
"When I like to have a little fun, I'm usually end up going to a sporting event. During the season it's a lot of times, the Pistons games. I've gone to a Red Wings game. And, as of late, actually last time I was in town I went to a Tigers game ... went to watch Verlander take care of business. And, and also I've got a good friend in Brendan Bosche, got to watch him play as well," said Suh.
Suh said he's also been known to throw down on some Detroit eats.
"No question. That's one of the thing that I've noticed: Detroit has some good food," he said. "I'm a big Biga guy (Pizzeria Biga), and then I also like a little bit of Town Tavern and Cameron's (steakhouse) in Birmingham," Suh said.
What about wings?
"No question ... I try to stay away from 'em, but I love 'em," he said.
Suh also spoke with Puddin' about a "Tweet-UP" he's holding this Saturday (July 30). He says he's trying to break a "tweeting" Guinness World Record. It's happening at 11 a.m. at the corner of Antietam and Rivard. You don't need to have a twitter account to help break the record. You vcan spread the word with hashtag #SuhTweetupDE.
