Student treated for minor injuries after assault at Avondale High School
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - An assault at Avondale High School resulted in a temporary lockdown Tuesday morning, Auburn Hills Police Department reported on social media.
"This appears to be an isolated incident between two students," the police department said later in the morning.
As police investigated the assault at the school on Waukegan Street, they learned a 15-year-old male received minor, non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital by family. The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was seen on security cameras leaving the school campus.
By 9:25 a.m., the suspect was located and officers were speaking to him.
No other students were injured in the incident; and the school lifted the lockdown.
