State Not Monitoring Use Of Gov't Credit Cards

A report from the Michigan auditor general says the state isn't properly monitoring the way government credit cards are used by about 3,000 state employees.

The report reviewed 327 purchases by five departments in 2009 and 2010 that totaled $220,000  and found 13 percent of the purchases were not permitted under state rules, including two personal purchases.
