Sources: Tigers Agree To Terms With Brad Penny
According to multiple reports the Detroit Tigers have come to terms with pitcher Brad Penny on a one year deal. Penny is expected to make a base salary of $3 million and could make another $3 million in incentives. Penny missed most of last season with the St. Louis Cardinals with a shoulder strain that caused him to pitch only 9 games with a 3.23 ERA. Penny's best seasons came in 2006-07 when he won 16 games both years and finished third in Cy Young voting in 2007 with the L.A. Dodgers. Penny has also pitched with the Marlins, Giants and Red Sox in 2009.
