Sheriff's Deputy Shot During Raid In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A Wayne County sheriff's deputy is recovering after being shot during a raid on a suspected drug house, Wednesday, on Detroit's west side.
Authorities say as officers arrived at the home, on Smart Street near I-94 and Lonyo, someone fired at deputies, hitting one in the arm. The wound wasn't considered life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.
Deputies found weapons and marijuana plants in the house. Nine people were taken into custody.
