Saturday's Tigers @ A's Game Will Be On Local TV
DETROIT – FOX Sports, at the request of FOX Sports Detroit and the Detroit Tigers, has added Saturday's Tigers at Oakland Athletics game to its FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK schedule. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4:00 PM Eastern, the usual FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK time slot, and airs on FOX-owned stations and affiliates throughout Michigan and in Toledo, OH.
The game was not scheduled for broadcast on any outlet, so the move enables Tigers fans throughout the region to view what could potentially be the Tigers' A.L. Central division clinching game.
FOX Sports Detroit is producing the game featuring Tigers announcers Mario Impemba and Rod Allen, and it is being carried on the following FOX over-the-air stations: WJBK (Detroit); WBKB (Alpena), WSMH (Flint/Saginaw); WXMI (Grand Rapids); WSYM (Lansing/Jackson); WLUC (Marquette); WFQX (Traverse City); and WUPW (Toledo, OH).
"We worked diligently with our colleagues at FOX Sports, Major League Baseball, the Tigers and the FOX stations and affiliates in our area to make this possible," said FOX Sports Detroit Senior Vice President/General Manager Greg Hammaren. "We really appreciate FOX Sports stepping to the plate and granting permission to show the game. They understood the significance of our request so Tigers fans can have the opportunity to watch what could be another memorable day in the team's storied history."

Additional Program Note: If the Tigers clinch the A.L. Central on Saturday, FOX Sports Detroit will break into regularly-scheduled programming after the game and televise a special TIGERS LIVE post-game show covering the division-winning celebration inside the Tigers clubhouse.
