Royal Oak Won't Fine Party Bus Operators
ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Royal Oak City Commissioners have narrowly voted down a controversial ordinance to fine limousine and party bus drivers when their passengers get unruly. In issuing the four-to-three vote, the commission said it will form a committee to address the issue differently.
Residents and local transportation companies urged commissioners to reject the proposal, which the city said was only meant to punish the worst offenders with fines up to $500.00.
