Roseville Man Faces Lengthy Prison Term After Police Standoff
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A Roseville man could be facing a lengthy prison sentence following what started out as a case of domestic violence.
It all started when police were called to a home in the 26000 block of Nagel Street around 6:30 Thursday evening. A 40-year-old woman told police that she had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend.
When police arrived, they were told that the suspect, 55-year-old Brian Handzlik, had been making explosive devices and had several guns in the home.
When Handzlik tried to escape, he was apprehended by officers.
He is currently jailed on a $500,000 dollar bond and will be back in court July 13, to face charges.
