Homeowner shoots 3 armed, masked men on Cockeysville property, killing 1, police say

A homeowner shot three armed, masked men who allegedly approached him on his property Saturday night in Cockeysville, killing one of them, according to Baltimore County police.

Officers responded around 10:40 p.m. to the 10000 block of Greenside Drive, where the homeowner told police that three masked men armed with guns approached him in his driveway.

Police said the homeowner pulled out his own gun and fired at the men before calling 911 to report the shooting.

One of the suspects, identified as 20-year-old Amon Walker, was found dead a short distance away. The other two suspects were located after seeking treatment at a hospital.

Police also recovered a loaded handgun believed to have belonged to one of the suspects.

"There was a car that went by fast, and we were inside watching TV, and we heard popping sounds, and it was very, very scary," a neighbor said.
