Rolaids Recall

Johnson & Johnson is recalling several types of Rolaids in the U.S. because of reports of metal and wood particles in the products.

The company's investigation determined that the materials were possibly introduced during the manufacturing process at a third party manufacturer.

The recall includes Rolaids Extra Strength Softchews, Rolaids Extra Strength plus Gas Softchews, and Rolaids Multi-Symptom plus Anti-Gas Softchews.  That includes 96 product lots and more than 13 million packages.

The company says "while the risk of serious adverse health consequences is remote," consumers who purchased these products should discontinue use.
