Robertson Global Health In Commercial Venture with Telemedicine Africa
SAGINAW -- Robertson Global Health Solutions Corp. (OTCBB: RHSC) and Montana Healthcare Solutions Pty. Ltd. said Wednesday they have signed a commercial agreement with Telemedicine Africa to provide high quality, cost effective health care services and solutions to the medically underserved population of Africa through the use of more affordable advanced technology.
Robertson Global and Telemedicine Africa aim to deliver RHealth Advisor mobile Web as an essential addition to its telemedicine offering, enabling the provision of medical support and services to be extended directly into the community. The expanded capabilities provided by RHealth Advisor will be offered as a natural extension of the telemedicine projects currently in effect with provinces in South Africa.
Robertson Global officials said Telemedicine Africa has been researching and testing telemedicine technologies for many years in order to bring quality health care to Africa that is tailored to meet the challenges of the African landscape. Today, the products and solutions offered by Telemedicine Africa have been customized to be effective, while using very few resources.
Telemedicine Africa is committed to implementing sustainable solutions and prides itself on pioneering telemedicine technologies in Africa for Africa. Robertson Global has been driven by the philosophy to provide integrated, multifunctional, scalable and dynamic systems and products that will improve the provision of care both today and in the future.
Accessed via cloud computing, RHealth Advisor mobile Web will assist in improving the provision of care throughout Africa. The unique design and flexibility of the software allow it to be customized for various languages and for lesser skilled health providers. It can be adapted to various regions throughout Africa to assist in determining local disease prevalence statistics, allowing the lesser skilled healthcare provider to be even more accurate when determining treatment. The intelligence behind RHealth Advisor also recognizes when the user is not able to determine a confident diagnosis and therefore provides additional symptoms or physical exams to consider. RHealth Advisor also recognizes that resources are limited and only recommends physical exams and treatment options that the healthcare worker is able and approved to provide. This all allows healthcare workers in the field to be more equipped with the latest medical research, diagnostic support, and documentation of findings and results, providing them with the tools to meet the challenges of healthcare delivery in rural parts of Africa.
"We are ... eager to equip healthcare providers serving in telemedicine projects across Africa," said Robertson Global COO Marc Decker. "Our approach is to work together with the SADC committee, governments and other partners throughout Africa. We anticipate that these projects will lead to subsequent sustainable deployment models that are scalable and have a clear social impact which can be implemented in other areas."
