Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk Wins Third Straight Selke Trophy
Pavel Datsyuk won his third straight Selke Trophy but failed to win a fifth straight Lady Byng Trophy at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Datsyuk became the first player to win the Selke (top defensive forward) in three consecutive seasons since Bob Gainey won from 1978 to '81.
Former Wing Luc Robitaille presented the award to Datsyuk, who thanked the Ilitch family "for believing in me."
