Red Wings' Jonathan Ericsson Returns, Paired With Nicklas Lidstrom
Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson smiled when told there's a theory he lacks confidence.
"I heard that," he said following practice Tuesday at the Saddledome, where tonight he'll play for the first time in three weeks as the Wings take on the Flames. Ericsson has been sidelined since Oct. 8, when he played one period of the season opener before succumbing to a bulging disk.
This season, Ericsson wants to restore himself to the towering beast he was in the 2009 playoffs and shake off a mistake-prone 2009-10.
