DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings have recalled goaltender Tom McCollum from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL and assigned goalie Petr Mrazek to the Griffins.

McCollum re-signed with the Red Wings this summer after spending the 2013-14 season on an AHL contract. He was drafted by Detroit in the first round in 2008 and appeared in one NHL game during the 2010-11 season, playing 15 minutes in a relief appearance.

Mrazek has appeared in 11 career NHL games since 2012-13, going 3-5-0 with a 1.80 goals-against average.
