In combination with the efforts of the City of Detroit, WWJ-TV and CW50 aired an Emergency Preparedness TV Special entitled "Ready Detroit" on WWJ-TV, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. and CW50 on September 3 at 8 p.m.

The special is hosted by First Forecast Mornings' host Syma Chowdhry.
