Quicken Looking To Buy In Detroit

You could call it a vote of confidence in Detroit. Quicken Loans, which moved from Livonia to downtown several months ago, is now planning to purchase a building in the city.
The company is currently housed the Compuware Building, but according to spokeswoman Paula Silver, hundreds of employees are still scattered throughout the metro area.
"We have nearly 2,000 team members still out in the suburbs. And, we're looking at that space in the Detroit area for our team members, and also to attract and encourage other businesses to move into the city," Silver said. "We're definitely interested in bringing all our team members into the city, and we're working on that."
Silver says on location Quicken is looking at is the Madison Building near Grand Circus Park. However, no final decisions have been made.
