Prosecutors: Detroit Dad Bites School Principal In Feud Over Field Trip
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit man was arrested after doling out some biting criticism of his child's principal.
According to prosecutors, 34-year-old Keron Wilson went to Cooke Elementary School, Monday morning, on the city's northwest side, wanting to know why his child wouldn't be allowed to go on a school field trip. The school's principal, Principal Philip Van Hooks, offered his explanation, but Wilson apparently wasn't buying it.
That's when Wilson allegedly became angry and assaulted the 40-year-old principal, punching him and biting him on the forearm.
Wilson was scheduled to be arraigned in 36th District Court Thursday afternoon on a charge of aggravated assault, a misdemeanor.
He could spend up to one year in jail if convicted.
