Police: String Of Break-Ins Was Family Affair

Detroit police have caught up with a family of thieves who've been breaking into homes on the city's northwest side.  Four people --  including a mother have been charged with home invasion -- and receiving and concealing stolen property -- after they were caught breaking into a home on Rosemont Street in broad daylight last week.

Investigators say the suspects are connected to several break-ins where electronics, jewelry, and money were stolen.   

The suspects (pictured, left to right) and charges are as follows:

Charnita Gardenshire (Age 36.  Mother of Suspect #2 and Cousin of Suspect #3): Home Invasion #2, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property over $100, Motor Vehicle Advisory, and Habitual 2nd offense.
Bond was set at $25,000 (10%); next exam date is January 21, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.

Jerel Davis (Age 17): Home Invasion #2, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property over $100, and Motor Vehicle Advisory.  Bond was set at $100,000 (cash); next exam date is January 21, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.

Anthony Harden (Age 18): Home Invasion #2, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property over $100, and Motor Vehicle Advisory.  Bond was set at $5,000 (10%); next exam date is January 21, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.

Andre Allen (Age 23.  Father of Suspect #1's granddaughter):
Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property over $100, and Motor Vehicle Advisory.  Bond was set at $100,000 (cash); next exam date is January 21, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.
