Police Stop Car On I-75 For Following Too Closely, Seize Half Kilo Of Cocaine Destined For Houston
DETROIT (WWJ) - A half-kilo of cocaine is off the street after a bust downriver by Michigan State Police.
Troopers on Hometown Security details pulled over the Toyota Wednesday on I-75 in southern Wayne County for following too closely.
While searching the car with the occupants' consent, troopers found a clear plastic baggie containing a small amount of marijuana. In the trunk, troopers also found a half kilo of cocaine.
At that point, both occupants were arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine. Police say the suspects were headed to Houston, Texas from the Detroit area.
The suspects remain in custody pending prosecutor review of the charges.
