Tragic End In Search For Oxford Girl Missing Since Friday

OXFORD (WWJ) - UPDATE - SUNDAY 2:05 p.m. The search has ended for a 15-year-old Oakland County girl who went missing Friday morning. The family of Megan Abbott says the Oxford teen has been found dead near Oxford High School -- and apparently took her own life.

Her mother told WWJ earlier Sunday that Abbott was upset over a breakup with her boyfriend. A family friend also says she was bullied.

A search is being conducted in Oxford for 15-year-old Megan Abbott, who hasn't been seen since she left Oxford High School Friday morning.

"Oh, yeah. I'm not going to sit home, I can't, I'll go crazy," said Hafeli.

"One minute I think she's going to come home alive next minute I don't think she is. So, I ... it's the best that a mother could hold up at this time."

Hafeli fears for her daughter's safety, saying she may be upset about a break-up with her boyfriend.

She's described as 5' 3", 135 pounds with long sandy brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a pink scarf.
