Police: 11-Year-Old Boy Goes Missing After Argument Over Chores

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help in locating an 11-year-old boy who ran away from home after an argument over chores.

Police say Ja'Lynn Chapman was last seen around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home in the 1600 block of Campau Farms Circle, in an east side neighborhood near Vernor and Chene Street.

According to police, Ja'Lynn left home after a disagreement about chores and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Ja'Lynn is described as a black male, 5'0" tall and 100 lbs. with black hair styled in mini dreads, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts with a blue stripe down the sides, and black and gray basketball shoes.

Anyone with information on  Ja'Lynn's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-596-1616.
