--The Pistons may rank in the bottom five leaguewide in scoring, but they protect the ball extremely well. They have committed an average of 12.8 turnovers per game, the fewest in the NBA. They have made 11 or fewer turnovers in 11 of the last 15 games, including six-turnover outings against Miami and San Antonio and a seven-turnover performance against Orlando.
--Miami forward LeBron James, who makes his first appearance this season at The Palace on Friday, has a personal 13-game winning streak against the Pistons dating to the 2009-10 season. Cleveland won its last three regular-season games against Detroit that season, then rolled to a four-game sweep in the opening round of the playoffs. The Cavs went 4-0 against the Pistons last season, and Miami has won two home games against Detroit this season.
