Pierre's Double, Run-Saving Catch Get White Sox Past Tigers

Juan Pierre's two-run double and run-saving catch in the fourth inning helped the Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 6-2 Tuesday.

Freddy Garcia (3-2) gave up two runs over six innings, going five starts without a loss for the first time since the end of the 2006.

Sergio Santos, J.J. Putz and Bobby Jenks each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.

Rick Porcello (3-4) allowed four runs on eight hits in seven innings.
