Pat Caputo- Stafford-Harrington Comparison Valid Statistically, But Not In Reality
Joey Harrington was the third overall pick in the National Football League Draft, Matthew Stafford first overall, both by the Lions.
When Harrington flopped, it set off a chain reaction that defined the Lions over the course of several years.
It hit rock bottom with an 0-16 season in 2008 — and the subsequent selection of Stafford in the 2009 NFL Draft. It was seven years removed from the Harrington pick.
