The Tigers passed the quarter point of the season last week and this much we know: They have a chance. A legitimate one, it seems.
The Tigers are very much in contention in the American League Central.
Yet, as well as the Tigers have played to this stage, the jury is still out. For a favorable verdict to come in, which in my mind is their second postseason appearance since 1987 (2006 was the exception), the following must take place:
