The Lions are looking at finishing in third place in the NFL North. They might be right there with those vicious Vikings, who turned out to be the league's most dysfunctional franchise this season. Oh, except for Dallas. The Lions have lost to both teams. And Buffalo.
Yet, when the glass is 66-percent empty, there are those who want to claim it's 99-percent full, and the Lions are just a player or two away from being genuine contenders for something other than an early pick in the NFL Draft.
