Tigers' manager Jim Leyland invokes a mixed bag of emotion.
He took over a club in 2006 that had suffered a dozen straight losing seasons, and delivered three winning years in the next four. And the Tigers, despite Tuesday's loss to the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park, are off to a solid start again this season.
Leyland did provide an improbable American League pennant in 2006, but it's not as if all Tiger fans are enamored with him.
