Online Tech Wins Managed Server Deal

Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc. last week announced that it has been chosen as the managed server provider of CellThis Co.

"Reliability was extremely important to us," said CellThis CEO Bob Henderson. "We were looking for 99.9 percent uptime in service. Secondly, we needed a company that was very responsive. Thirdly, we wanted a company that dealt with quality products. Online Tech met all of these requirements and then some."

Based on meeting all of these criteria, Henderson selected Online Tech as the managed server partner of choice.

Despite the added challenge of coordinating setup across continents, Online Tech's proactive technical team worked closely with the CellThis programmers at Brandsoft Solutions Ltd. in Leeds, U.K., managing a transition to the new servers. Within two days from contacting the sales team, CellThis had its data uploaded and running on Online Tech's managed dedicated servers.

CellThis hosts all its customers' cell phone traffic, their text messaging traffic and their CellThis Web sites on Online Tech's managed servers. The default managed server package provides them with fully configured, premium Dell servers; remote device management with power strip reboot; high availability redundant power and network feeds; around-the-clock server monitoring; and first response to any issue that might arise with 24x7 hands-on support. CellThis opted to add online server backup with OTBackup's customizable restore points.
